The Fort Worth Youth Orchestra is thrilled to announce that Chasten Musenda and Carly Coleman are the winners of this season's concerto competitions!
Chasten Musenda, principal bassoonist of The Youth Orchestra and senior at Paschal High School in Fort Worth, is the winner of the Young Artists Concerto Competition. He will perform the first movement of the Concerto for Bassoon in D Minor, RV 481, by Antonio Vivaldi, at the FWYO Finale Concert on May 15, 2022, at Bass Performance Hall.
Carly Coleman, principal oboist of the Philharmonic Orchestra and junior at Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, is the winner of the Young Performers Concerto Competition. She will perform the first movement of the Concerto in A Minor for Oboe & Strings, by Ralph Vaughan Williams, at the FWYO Spring Concert on February 27, 2022.
